I am a college professor (PhD in English, concentration rhetoric) at Milwaukee School of Engineering, where I teach film and media studies, political science, digital society, digital storytelling, writing for digital media, and communication.       At first I titled this photo “Staircase.” But then I thought, “That thing must have a name.” So I poked around Google Images till I figured it out. Kind of fun knowing what the curlicue spiral thing at the end of the handrail is actually called.
