I don’t do black-and-white photography very often. But these sunny-day pictures of the MGIC Plaza down the street from my office seemed perfect for a more stark presentation than color could give them. What do you think?
(P.S. – As someone who sewed lots of my own clothes in high school, I would like to point out how perfectly I matched up the “plaids” of the windows at the “seam” where they meet their reflection in the center of the first picture. Even now I judge the quality of a garment with stripes or plaids by noting whether or not the patterns match up at the seams. I’m pretty sure quality measures for photography don’t work the same way, but still . . . 😄)

That is so perfect!! I could never line things up when I tried to sew something. Often I would accidentally cut of those little line up tabs!! You are expert!!

Well, not “expert” by any means. How did I know it was time to quit sewing for the day? When I screwed up something so badly that I needed to get out the seam ripper. Remember that handy little tool? Kind of the analog version of CTRL+Z 😂

LOL I just purchased a seam ripper with a mini magnifying glass attached to it. At one time I worked at a quilt shop as a seamstress. The store front lady, Dorothy was given
the job of taking out our mistakes when we stitched the right sides together with her trusty
seam ripper tool. I think she would have liked the one I just purchased.

LOL on the sewing reference. I thought I was the only one who still matched plaid and stripes as well as look at all the floral designs in my size to see which one flows the best. Drives my hubby
crazy when he is with me and will say “Can’t you just take one off the rack?” Nope, because they
are not all sewn properly.
