How to write a bestseller #@#%$!!!!!

Who the BLEEP knew?!?!?!?

While buying paper towels and other staples at Target last night, I decided to swing past the books and maybe treat myself if anything caught my eye. Well, these did catch my eye, LOL. But they seemed a bit too high strung to serve as a relaxing escape from the holiday whirl πŸ˜‚

About Katherine Wikoff

I am a college professor (PhD in English, concentration rhetoric) at Milwaukee School of Engineering, where I teach film and media studies, political science, digital society, digital storytelling, writing for digital media, and communication. While fragments of my teaching and scholarship interests may quite naturally meander over to my blog, this space is intended to function as a creative outlet, not as part of my professional practice. When doing the reading and signing at my book launch I had the backdrop of shelved books in Read Between the Lynes Bookstore in Woodstock, IL. Unbeknownst to me behind me was a book shelved with its face pointed out into the room “Everything is F**ked: A Book about Hope.” People were taken pictures, we had the video camera going, 25 or so people sat looking at me from the chairs, all taking in this (how did you put it) “high strung” book 3 feet behind me. As soon as I was done the members of my authors group came up and said, “We want you to come stand up by the bookshelf behind you for a picture.” I did and got a big bang out of the book and it’s proximity to my presentation. God is in the details.
