Come into my parlour . . .

image

When I let the dogs out last week, I noticed the shimmery green fly in a web on our back deck. I bent around the corner to see if the spider was anywhere around. Oh, yeah. There it was. The entire scene was so creepy and ugly and something I’d never seen in exactly this way before that I decided to snap a photo.

Spooky.

Now I feel bad for the fly. And I wonder if it was immoral to document its doom. But it’s nature, after all, red in tooth and claw, etc. So I decided to let the photo stand on its own merits.
